Sailing Tours Around Cala d'Or, Mallorca

We went for the sunset and meal cruise it was fantastic we went swimming twice in different coves, on board there were paddle boards and snorkels you could borrow which my husband made the most of the snorkels but if you didn't want to do that you could just go for a swim. Steve, Patrick and Mitch were so friendly and helpful the food was more than I expected we had Prawns for starter cooked on the barbecue WHICH we gave Steve some stick about it because he is Australian. For mains we paid 1 euro extra for the steak which were perfectly cooked other people had salmon and a summer fruit flan I know we had a free bar you we never left with an empty glass but there was also soft drinks available. The sunset wasn't its best the clouds got in the way but fun was had by all. I enjoyed sitting up front on way back in the dark it was a bit rough but very relaxing.

Awesome day and Nigel and Juan were entertaining yet professional, the boat is amazing with lots of charm and character. Highlight was dropping anchor off a small cala enjoying an amazing lunch then a swim in crystal clear waters,

Excellent and very friendly staff and boat owner. It was more than a good time to be on board. We celebrate a Birthday and everything was well organised as we wished.

My partner and I chose this yacht tour for the original classic sailing experience and we were not disappointed.

We wanted an experience with a small group and there were only 8 people aboard with us whereas some other cheaper tours pack up to 80 tourists onto their vessels.

Nigel and his crew were friendly throughout and Nigel is obviously very proud of his beautiful yacht. He was training his new skipper and we were impressed by his confident knowledge and professionalism.

The trip itself was wonderful. We were greeted with cava and a brief safety talk. One nice touch was that we were offered travel sickness medication if needed. We were lucky with the weather and the sailing was peaceful and easy.

We stopped in two locations for snorkelling, swimming and paddleboarding. There was plenty of time for fun at each stop and the Pace was relaxed and easy throughout the trip.

On the second stop a delicious lunch was served and there was plenty for everybody. Some of the freshest shrimp we ate on our trip and delicious cheese as part of a varied and fresh buffet. Dessert was a thoroughly delicious fruit platter.

It was clear that Nigel was very fond of his boat and at one point I made the mistake of going to the bathroom with wet trunks and I was politely ushered back on deck with Nigel frantically drying the floor behind me. Sorry Nigel!

Overall this trip was the highlight of our perfect holiday. We booked it as a birthday trip despite considering other options and I don't regret my decision for a minute. If we are lucky enough to go back to mallorca next year we hope to have the pleasure of sailing with Nigel and his crew again.

Sailing through scapes of blue, diving into the sunset colored waters of Mallorca and dining underneath the moon: if you are looking for any trip that takes you out of the daily life and tourist masses of Mallorca and into its nature and tranquility, this is the one.

We had the pleasure to enjoy this magical boat trip with 3 other lovely couples. The intimacy of the small group and Nigel’s warm hospitality and witty humour made us feel at ease and at home on Vita Bel II immediately.

Everything about this trip amazed us. From the sea views to the pure taste of our dinner (of fresh prawns, olive bread and salmon). We topped of the night with cava and the mesmerizing views of the sun setting above one of Mallorca’s small, idyllic beaches.

All in all, this boat tour was the highlight of our trip. Unfortunately we booked it on our last night. If we had more nights to go, we would certainly have gone again and again and again.

We did the sunset dinner sailing tour in June - I've been on plenty of boat trips but this was the best by far.

The boat itself is lovely - was our first time on a sailing yacht and Nigel took us out to sea to enjoy the sensation of sailing on the open water before coming back to cruise along the coast and enjoy the magnificent views of the cliffs and coves along the coast.

Anchoring in one these coves we had time to do snorkelling, swimming, and cliff jumping as well as generally enjoying being aboard the yacht and taking advantage of the free bar.

Dinner was exquisite: prepared with care and attention and using top quality ingredients. BBQ salted king prawns to start with lovely bread and tasty home-made dips followed by a thick fillet steak cooked on the BBQ to perfection and served with assorted well-chosen wines. The fish-cake was also excellent.

Nigel is a consummate host, he personalised the whole experience for us, ensured we felt safe on-board, and offered premium service throughout whilst encouraging a light-hearted & fun atmosphere.

Highly Recommended for solo travellers, couples, families, and groups: unless you are scared of water this trip will easily be the best thing you do on Mallorca.

We had an amazing day on board the Vita Bel with Nigel. Couldn't recommend it enough for a relaxing getaway from the main land. Great food, lovely stopover in a bay, fantastic yacht, great skipper :-) and we had enough wind to actually sail.
Will book again if we return to Mallorca.

Would give this experience 6 stars if I could. Nigel and his crew were so accommodating, the food was delicious, and we had such a great time! 10/10 definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time on this small group tour, just the right amount of time sailing, stopping for a dip in a couple of the island’s beautiful coves, and a delicious meal. The captain and his skipper took excellent care of us and thoughtfully tended to every detail. I highly recommend this excursion!

Outstandig!
We spent great hours on the lovely sailing ship and at the end we enjoy a delicious dinner on board. Best Mallorcan wine, local handcrafted beer, fish, prawns, Coca Mallorquina, salads, ham, cheese, fresh fruit and tortilla de patatas. Thank you so much, Nigel, for such a wonderful day!
