❓What is a reading?
Literally a reading of a play by role. Theatres have a table period where the company reads the play and takes it apart. I invite you to feel like actors in the first rehearsal. And your troupe is you and your friends. The reading is led by me - I am a professional theatre and film actress. I will gently prompt you and guide you to get a feel for how cool you're doing.
In my readings I:
- I suggest that you get to know the text all together, read it in roles and discuss it at the end.
- Before we start, we do a little training to get as much awkwardness out of the way as possible and to get in the mood.
- People with no theatre experience come to the readings. It's even more interesting that way!
- At the end, I give everyone deserved praise and prepare questions for the text to make it more interesting to discuss.
- Let's drink wine!
